Halloween Merchandising

Isn't this Brag Monday?

If not, it should be, because
I just couldn't wait to show you what
my daughter put together.

She's a Visual Merchandiser for a LARGE book store
and came up with this
Halloween Display

How did she make that
Look So Good?
She Told Me How
She Started With A
Styrofoam head from Sally Beauty Supply
Decoupaged it with Book Pages
Painted a Fanciful Face
Then gave her a Glamorous Outfit

She's So Creative
(even if I do say so myself)
Bragging Rights!

Do you enjoy seeing all the Holiday Displays?

I Sure Do!

Sunday Morning - Psalm 141:2

A place of intimate petition
where we look beyond the natural
and see the "Kingdom of Heaven"
at work in every need

A place of Intimacy
filled with
Joy  Love  Delight  Passion

A place where we can learn to
overcome evil with Good

A place where we recognize

His Goodness

Pumpkin Still Life

I hope your Autumn is as wonderful as ours

Not that we're doing anything Special
We're just enjoying the Season

and the inspiration all around us.

I mean, how many "Fall" Magazines are there ...
and who's counting?

 We Love them All!

All rhymes with Fall
I think I'm a poet.

My Inspiration for these Photographs

Maybe, what's inspiring me
will inspire You too!

PS:  By the way, the Gray Pumpkin ... I only painted it because it was almost gone.
It's probably best to paint an "artificial" pumpkin like Sweet Paul's.
(Let's just say ... the life expectancy goes way down once you paint a "real" one)

Shopping on a Whim

Because, we're Retired

and can go to places like this on a Whim!

It was either this or the BIG Shopping Mall

and in our mind it was No Contest!

This was like a Breath of fresh air
Just what the Dr ordered

We Shopped, We Laughed, We Got Inspired

and wished you had been with us

On our Day

Maybe next time You can come!

(Buzz was especially happy because I only spent $9.00)

Autumn Garland - A Dollar Tree DIY

Autumn Garland

There are entire blogs dedicated to crafting from
Dollar Stores
This was my First Attempt

One Package of Autumn Table Decorations (From Dollar Tree), Needle, Thread, Buttons (from my stock) & Glue

    1. I used a heavy thread to sew a button to the top of each felt leaf - leaving the thread in tact
    2. As I finished each leaf, I slid it down the thread, spacing the leaves approximately five inches apart.
    3. Finally, to secure each leaf to the thread, I put a small drop of glue on the back of each button.

It only took about thirty minutes

and looks SO festive on our front porch

I'm seeing $ Stores in a Whole Different Way.

    How about you?
Have you been crafting from your $ Store?

Just Outside Our Front Door ...

“Piglet noticed that even though he had a Very Small Heart,
it could hold a rather large amount of Gratitude.”
     - A.A. Milne Winnie the Pooh
that's how we feel about our front porch

    it isn't anything fancy
    but, it's cozy

    and it has the flavor

of the life we've shared together

    A sweet reminder
    of the goodness of God.
