It's Been a While ...

Today, I had a nice surprise.
Lynn, one of my faithful followers, reminded me that it had been a while since I'd posted anything.
She was curious about how we were doing after our move and how our garden was coming along.
Thank you, Lynn, for the sweet reminder ... made me want to check in on all of you.
How are you???

Our Garden

It's coming along.
We haven't devoted nearly as much time as we did in the previous one.
However, as time has passed, we are beginning to feel at home,
and the little bits that we have done have helped a lot.

We've planted a small vegetable garden.
Okra, Tomatoes, Peppers & Strawberries.
I wanted Okra because they attract dragon flies ... or at least ours always have.
Yesterday, when I was pulling out of our driveway,
I saw several flying around and LOVED it!
Of course,
we are enjoying the bounty too ...
always good on the table.

Something New

Buzz put up a small fence between the storage shed & our house.
He's dubbed it "The Prayer Garden" and indeed, that's exactly what it is.
If you look at the top picture ... this space is directly behind the crepe myrtle at the back.
So secluded!  We LOVE it!
This is SO new ... we have some FuN ideas that we want to try, so stay tuned.

Just for grins ... Look how far we've come.
(March 2015)

We never thought we'd survive this move!

Big Hugs!

Makes me have hope for our mobile home we bought down in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It will be our retirerment home but I've been so sad about it not looking like a house.I hate the thought of downsizing from our home we built but hubby says it too will be beautiful! I have missed you blogs...please keep up the wonderful stories and pictures they give me inspiration!

    1. Thank you, Susie. I remember thinking how difficult it would be to downsize to a mobile home too, but have never once regretted it. Hopefully, you'll feel the same way. I'm going to try to post a little more often ... we truly do love touting this lifestyle. Thank you, again! Geneva

  4. You have created a lovely place surrounding your mobile home, I think you've done quite a lot in just three years. I look forward to seeing more of your 'prayer garden'.

Happy Summer ~ it was good to see this post from you.

  5. Geneva, I am SOOO happy to see a post from you!!! I just love all that you have done to your place. It sure looks a whole lot different than when you moved in. I love the sweet back area where you have the private garden space. It's perfect!

I think it is great to see people living in mobile homes and posting about them. They make so much sense and you get so much home for the money. They are practical and use every bit of space- no space is wasted. I love to see the interiors, too, and hope you will do some posts on that at some point, too.

Hope you have a great weekend and I hope you post more often. xo Diana

  6. Your place is always lovely! I love all you have accomplished in 3 short years. It has taken us years to get things done around our place but that's ok. One thing at a time and it eventually will be how I want it. LOL! Good to hear from you. Take care!

    Blessings, Vicky
