Spring Garden - Because You Asked

We affectionately call our home "Whisper Cottage"
and our gardens reflect the name.

Our Cottage Gardens

Even with the up and down temperatures this Spring,
our garden hasn't let us down.

Let Me Show You Part Of Our World

The
Herb Garden

Rosemary, Thyme, Lavender, Oregano, Basil, Mint and Parsley

Texas Native Shrubs & Flowers
A Butterfly Garden
and
Whimsey

along with a
Kitchen Garden

and a shade garden that I'll show you another time.

When you consider what we started with,
you'll see we've come a long way.

Even when it looked like this ...
Back in 2011

we could see this
Spring 2013

so we rolled up our sleeves and went to work.

It's been SO Rewarding!!!

PS...Ours is an experimental garden, which means we're constantly trying new plants, and moving things around.  Of course that's what makes it fun!  Later this Summer, I'll share more pictures and give you a list of some of the plants  in our garden.  I'll also share some of the challenges we have with our L O N G narrow garden which at times seems more like a G I A N T flower bed.
Until then, Happy Gardening!

  4. You have been busy! It looks wonderful. I find purple flowers so peaceful. Having a cup of coffee or tea, surrounded by flowers is so much nicer!
