Happy Birthday Banner
August Birthday Party
We know some pretty special people who celebrate their birthday in August
Buzz is one of them!
(Buzz is my better half)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUZZ
~
That's why I decided to make a Birthday Banner
that I could leave up all month long.
BIRTHDAY BANNER
Remember me telling you about some books my niece
was kind enough to dumpster dive for me...well
I used pages from one of them for my banner.
(just cut the pages out and ran them through my printer)
Some of the pages are upside down on my banner ...
but I liked that white space at the top, so I didn't mind.
I used a template to cut a rectangle around each letter...
then secured the pieces to a black cord with scotch tape
How simple is that!
We celebrated three birthdays in one day...
They're the ones with the cute little hats.
(that's me hiding in the top right hand corner)
Don't you like our clever disguises!
":o)
I loved this graphic from "The Graphics Fairy"
so printed her out on one of the book pages.
Isn't she Whimsical!!!
If your birthday is in August
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
to
YOU!
What a fun "birthday" post. I love your banner, I want to make one, I think they are just too cute. My husband's birthday is the 25th...so another special one for August!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Geneva, I celebrated last week. What paper did you run the banner on? I have wanted to down load some vintage pix for labels and whenI print it comes out full size! :-( xo
ReplyDeleteCute, cute banner and the picture with the hats and glasses is fun! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI tried making a banner with letters printed on book pages. It didn't work!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it was my printer...or my lack of savvy on the craft. :(
I'd love to have something like to display for birtdays and get togethers for special occasions.
This one is cute and the graphic with the binoculars...cute!
Love the disguises. ~ Pat
