Old-Fashioned Beef Stew

It's been cold and rainy here and the last thing
Buzz said before we went to bed last night was -
"Let's make stew tomorrow."

This is the basic recipe we've modified from both of our moms.

- something you need to know -
it changes a little bit each time we make it.
😉
It all depends on what we have on hand.

The flavor punch from this stew comes from that little bay leaf ... it's always a must!

Sometimes we use BIG CHUNKY pieces,
but today's version - small bite-size pieces.

Plenty for us and Plenty to share.

  1. I was thinking about you today and how inspiring your blog is. Imagine my happy surprise when I saw a new post. Your stew recipe is quite close to our Mulligan Stew. There isn't anything as comforting as the smell and taste of stew on a cold blustery day. Comfort food in these trying times.
