Happy 4th of July - From Our House to Yours

You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness.  You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism.  ~Erma Bombeck

That's exactly  how we'll be celebrating this year

 With people we Love
 Celebrating a Country we Love

and

We're wishing the same for you and yours!

Have a
Safe & Happy
4th of July!

Storage Wars = Etsy Shop

Buzz and I are "Finally" getting everything out of our $$$ storage.
We've been dragging our feet, because I'm pretty sure I told you we were working on that last year...
or was it the year before that.
Hum!

We're sorting through boxes of memories.

Some for Goodwill
Some for a Yard Sale
and
Some for our Etsy Shop
(which will be opening soon)

It struck me when I was adding her to my listings...

Does She Know?

Some how, I think she does.

PS: Don't worry, you'll be the first to know when we open shop.  It may take a while ... we're still having some conflicts on what to keep and what to let go.
No worries...we'll get there.
We Have To!

Garden Bits and Pieces

All gardeners live in beautiful places because they make them so.  - Joseph Joubert

Gardens aren't just Plants and Flowers

They're also bits and pieces of the Soul.

That's how it is in our garden ...
How about yours?

Heat Pump Shelter / Shade - A Guy's DIY

That's how our Summers are here in Texas

It wouldn't be so bad, except our neighbors tree died last year
and we lost a lot of shade on the SW side of our house.

The side that stays HOT the longest!

That's why Buzz decided to build this shelter/shade
for our heat pump

He used
4x4's, 2x4's 1x2's, cedar fencing material and shade cloth

There's plenty of room inside for air circulation and maintenance

Along with this nice shade!

Actually, we miss the tree a LOT

but at least this gives our
Heat Pump
a little bit of relief
which in turn
gives us a lot of relief.

I know this isn't the most exciting post
but I was proud enough of Buzz's shade solution
that I decided to share
